"Are you spending your life chasing immortality or irrelevance? Remember, there's a very fine line between clever and foolish."
I've been reading a ton during this holiday season, for many reasons. One, I'm in the process of putting a new company in place, so I can't really "work," at least like I'm used to. That leaves a lot of frustration in its wake, and because I can't really even talk about it, it makes it worse. Ah, the pleasure of the finance industry and the restrictions that come with participation.
All I can say is I can't wait to take my tests and have all the legal done, so I can start the MARKETING process. That will be a very good thing. Again, in the interim, I'm planning, networking, discussing new partnerships, and reading like a madman.
I've been enjoying a very dry but powerful read...a classic published in 1963, called The Power of your Subconscious Mind, by Joseph Murphy. I recommend you pick it up and embrace what you can from its deep pages.
Here's a quote from the book's pages that I thought I'd share with you all today:
"The Captain is the master of his ship, and his decrees are carried out. Likewise, your conscious mind is the captain and the master of your ship, which represents your body, environment, and all your affairs. Your subconscious mind takes the orders you give it based upon what your conscious mind believes and accepts as true. .....if you persist in saying 'I can't ____', you can rest assured that your subconscious mind will follow your orders, and you will go through life experiencing the lack of all these things."
Now, to be fair, I'm a very positive guy, but I admit that lately, I STILL suffer from symptoms of the belief that I don't deserve the good things that happen and that God is against me. The truth is I've been hearing the enemy lie in my ear for so long that I've chosen to believe those lies are my thoughts, and in turn I've started suffering my choices and beliefs. It seems insane that something like that can happen to anyone, let alone me, but indeed it can, does, and did.
I'm stating this today, out loud, that I will not allow this anymore. I have millions upon millions of things to accomplish in my life and I've been built to be something extraordinary, to leave a giant lasting footprint that will live eons beyond me. I am a walking superhero. I am, and you need to know that, because I'm coming.
Never mind me. I'm just throwing stuff out into the wind.
